What we Consider
Acceptance of a child is based on several factors, one of which is a successful match of the family’s and the school’s educational goals for the child. Siblings of currently qualifying students and children transferring from other Montessori schools are given priority. New applicants are admitted for the remaining spaces, while striving to maintain gender and age balance within the classrooms. Plains to Peaks Montessori does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender, nationality, or ethnic origin in its admissions. Admissions are based upon the space available and an evaluation of the suitability of Plains to Peaks Montessori for each student.
What's Next?
Accepted families will receive an acceptance packet, including an enrollment contract, emergency contact information forms, medical forms, a parent handbook. The enrollment contract, tuition deposit, and all forms must be returned within ten days of the notification date.
Upon receipt of your tuition deposit, a meeting with one of the admissions staff may be set up to review the Parent Handbook and go over any questions you may have. At this time, a home or classroom visit may be scheduled. These visits offer an opportunity for your child to meet the guide one-on-one, and for the guide to begin assessment of your child’s development to date.
A phase-in process will also be scheduled at the beginning of your child’s enrollment. The phase-in is a necessary period of transition, and may be adapted to meet your child’s needs.
Wait Pool
Applicants who have been accepted for all reasons other than space availability will be placed in our wait pool. Families will be notified when a place becomes available.
